The ongoing Saudi-Iranian geopolitical conflict has caused tensions not just in the Middle East but has seen involvement from foreign superpowers such as China. Conclusive peace talks could be about to materialise, but how substantial are they, and what will this mean for the conflict? The Biden administration is considering reviving the practice of detaining immigrants crossing the border illegally. What impact will this have on human rights and does it signal a partial return to Trump-era immigration policy? The government is seriously doubling down on the illegal migration bill, deemed to be extremely controversial and in contravention to numerous international laws. But what do representatives on the ground think about it, and why does it damage race relations? One year on from Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine, it’s important to assess how much of an impact the war has had on the people of Ukraine and how far there is still to come to end the conflict.
