Read our new article about the UK’s relationship with populism! The ongoing Saudi-Iranian geopolitical conflict has caused tensions not just in the Middle East but has seen involvement from foreign superpowers such as China. Conclusive peace talks could be about to materialise, but how substantial are they, and what will this mean for the conflict? The Biden administration is considering reviving the practice of detaining immigrants crossing the border illegally. What impact will this have on human rights and does it signal a partial return to Trump-era immigration policy? The government is seriously doubling down on the illegal migration bill, deemed to be extremely controversial and in contravention to numerous international laws. But what do representatives on the ground think about it, and why does it damage race relations? One year on from Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine, it’s important to assess how much of an impact the war has had on the people of Ukraine and how far there is still to come to end the conflict. Write for us! Since December last year, Peruvians have been protesting the arrest of former President Pedro Castillo. These protests are also symptomatic of long-standing socio-political issues and tensions. What are these issues? How did Peru get to this? Ben Rich, CEO of Radix and former @yorkunisu president, has led a career closely involved in political and campaign life and has worked for Tim Farron, former leader of the Liberal Democrats. Directions taken by the current leadership of the Labour Party have raised questions not just about the next election, but the ideology on which Labour should base itself on. How do we apply social democracy to the modern age, and can Labour win with a more bold philosophical offer to the electorate?
